1. Introduction

AnchoredIP ("we", "us") leases address space announced from AS41800. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

2. Data We Collect

Order information: The organisation name, country and email address you type when you order. There is no registration step and no password. If you pay by bank transfer we also store the registered name, address and tax number that have to appear on the invoice, because you gave them to us for that.

Payment records, not payment details: Card numbers never reach us. A card is taken by our merchant of record, who returns the brand and last four digits, and that pair is all we keep of it — enough for you to recognise a charge on a statement.

Technical data: IP allocations, tunnel configuration metadata, and service usage logs necessary for network operation.

The network you order from: When you place an order we record the address it came from — for IPv6, only the /64 your provider gave you, not the exact address. We use it for one thing: the free trial is limited to one at a time per network, because it hands out a real address from the same block our paying customers use. It is not used to profile you and it is not shared. Separately, our rate limiting counts requests per address for up to an hour at a time; those counters live in the same database and expire by themselves.

Communication: Emails and support requests you send us.

3. What We Do Not Collect

We do not inspect, log, or store the content of your network traffic. AnchoredIP is an infrastructure service — we route packets, we do not read them.

4. How We Use Data

Service delivery: Provisioning and maintaining your IP allocations and tunnels.

Billing: Processing payments and generating invoices.

Abuse handling: Investigating reports and responding to abuse complaints as required by industry practice and law.

Communication: Responding to your requests, sending service notices, and maintenance notifications.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share information only in these cases:

  • Payment processors for billing purposes
  • Law enforcement when required by valid legal process
  • Upstream providers when required for abuse resolution

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of the service relationship and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and accounting purposes. Technical logs are retained for up to 12 months.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted communications, access controls, and secure infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure — we commit to prompt notification in the event of a breach affecting your data.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies in your browser and sends your IP address, which Google shortens before storing, along with the pages you view, to Google in the United States. We use it to learn whether anyone is finding us, not to identify you, and we do not combine it with your account.

Two of our addresses carry a secret: your dashboard link contains the access token for your lease, and a recovery link contains a one-time key. Neither is ever sent to Google. The page address is rewritten before analytics sees it — your dashboard is reported as /lease/[token] and every query parameter we have not explicitly judged harmless is replaced with [redacted]. We would rather lose a statistic than hand your credential to a third party.

Separately from Google, your browser keeps one note of its own: the site you arrived from and the first page of ours you opened. It is written once, never updated, and read only if you place an order, in which case those two values are stored on your customer record so we know which page found you. It holds no identifier and is subject to the same rewriting as above, so it can never contain your access token. Clearing site data for this domain deletes it.

Blocking cookies for this site, or any content blocker, stops it completely. Nothing about the Service depends on it — ordering, your dashboard and your tunnels all work with analytics blocked.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
